Update October 1, 2007

Please pray for our Granddaughter, Summer Dillard. She is 5 years old and has been diagnosed with Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (ITP). Over the past 5 months, she has been in the hospital 3 times with a critical low platelet count and bleeding under the skin. She is being treated with oral prednisone, based on weekly lab results. Every time they ween her off the medication, her platelets drop again. The pediatric oncologist in Lubbock is monitoring her closely. Acute cases in children usually resolve within 6 months.
